I’m an environmentalist who is deeply troubled by how we are destroying our planet and the ecosystems we belong to. We are one with nature. We are part of it, not separate from it. And somewhere along the way our species moved so far away from our place on this incredible planet. That keeps me up at night!

But I’m also an eternally romantic, hopeful person. Especially around tech and humanity’s future! I love animals, I love science, I’m a huge sci-fi nerd, and I want to be on the cutting edge of whatever comes next. I can’t help it. I read about a breakthrough in mRNA vaccines or CRISPR gene editing or a new clean energy breakthrough and I think, man, we might actually figure this out!!

That combination, the grief for what we’re losing and the excitement for what we might build, is what drives everything I do. This site is where those worlds collide.

By day, I work on Identity and Access Management at AWS. I lead teams that build and ship IAM features used by millions of customers. Root access management, multi-factor authentication, credential lifecycle management. My role spans the full product lifecycle: researching customer pain points, making product decisions, driving technical architecture, and bridging the gap between product and engineering.

What I believe
#

I believe technology should meet people where they are, not the other way around! Whether it’s a developer trying to set up IAM permissions, or someone trying to go electric for the first time, or a patient trying to understand their health data. If the system makes the right thing harder than the wrong thing, that’s a design failure, not a people failure!

In my work at AWS, I call this developer-first security: the easiest path should be the secure path. But the principle is bigger than IAM. It applies to everything. EVs should be easier to live with than gas cars. Health information should be accessible, not locked behind jargon. Technology should amplify human capability, not gatekeep it!

I’m a big believer that the next few decades are going to be transformative for humanity. mRNA, CRISPR, AI, clean energy. We are living through an inflection point! I’m very hopeful for what’s ahead, and I want to be part of building it.

What I write about
#

This site is where I think out loud. Not just about work, but about the things I’m genuinely curious about:

  • Technology & Side Projects — AI, cloud security, identity systems, developer experience, and the technical side of building side projects (like TrailSpark for EV road trips)
  • Longevity and Health — the science of living longer and better, from metabolic health to cutting-edge research
  • My Work — lessons from building identity infrastructure at AWS scale

I worked at DISH on enterprise automation systems, where I earned a “Best in Class” award for contributions to their platform.
